FIRST WALK/RUN on the Treadmill

Just did the first podcast of Couch 2 5k, and I am sitting here drenched in perspiration (to put it nicely).  
I only covered  2.43k's but at least I did it.  Walked at 4km then shuffled  (=  run for me)  at 5 and 5.5km's.
But, oh boy, my calf muscles are very sore, so maybe I should have stretched before hand.
I must try.....or..... ask my son if he could do something similar with the podcasts but with my music, I don't mind his voice except for when I told him to "get lost, I can't run anymore" but I did even if it was mainly shuffling :)
